Fat Loss

Personally, I have not undergone any kind of magnificent weight loss transformation so I cannot give any kind of specific plan for weight loss but I will offer a few tips.

  1. Cardio where you are sweating and breathing heavy is a great way to burn calories and fat. Make it fun for yourself! I realize that for some (including myself), it may be hard to go to the gym and jog on a treadmill for 20 mins. I make cardio fun by playing basketball, football, or swimming. Be consistent with your frequency.

  2. Try to eat better. Eat three square meals a day and be thoughtful about how healthy your plate is. Staying away from unnecessary calories like snacks and desserts will also be beneficial.

  3. Set reachable goals for yourself. For example, maybe you want to try and lose two pounds this week. Do some cardio, eat healthy, weigh yourself Sunday morning, again the next Sunday morning, and see if you succeeded. Meeting small goals boosts confidence and becomes kind of addicting. If you could do it this week, why shouldn’t you be able to do it next week too?

  4. Incorporate cardio into workouts. Less rest between low-weight, high-rep sets where you get your heart pumping is great for turning fat into lean muscle.
